Flegrei sono un luogo unico al mondo. Qui il mare custodisce antiche città
sommerse e ville sontuose di potenti imperatori. Qui la terra si alza e si abbassa, come un lungo,
gigantesco respiro; e qui un lago può nascondere l’ingresso al mondo dei morti.
Qui i vulcani nascono nell’arco di una sola notte e il loro calore genera
sbuffi di vapore e acque termali. Qui le sibille leggevano il futuro degli
uomini. Vi sembra che stiamo esagerando con la fantasia? Niente affatto. La magia dei Campi Flegrei è dovuta all’opera della natura e dell’uomo, non
alla fantasia, perciò... Non è fantasia, è magia! ©
Bacoli ospita nel suo territorio alcuni dei luoghi più suggestivi del
patrimonio archeologico, mitico e naturalistico dei Campi Flegrei: per
valorizzarli, su iniziativa di TILE insieme al Comune di Bacoli, nasce FAB!
il Festival dell’Archeologia di Bacoli. Una rassegna internazionale di
Cinema, ma anche di Letteratura e Cross-medialità; ed inoltre, durante i giorni
dell’evento, saranno protagonisti anche l’archeocucina, l’archeologia
subacquea, il teatro e la musica.
FAB è l’acronimo di Festival
dell’Archeologia di Bacoli ma in inglese «FAB» vuol dire favoloso, fantastico
(chi non conosce i Fab Four, i Fantastici Quattro?): per questo, FAB si
presenterà come Rassegna favolosa del cinema e della cultura archeologica!
Partner dell’evento saranno, oltre al Comune di Bacoli, la Regione Campania e l’Università di Napoli.

Flegrei is a unique place in the world. Here the sea preserves old sunken
cities and powerful emperors’ sumptuous villas. Here the ground gets up and
goes down, like a long and giant breath; and here a lake can hide the entrance
to the world of the dead. Here the volcanoes born over the night and their heat
generates puffs of steam and thermal waters. Here the sibyls read the men’s
future. Do you feel we are fantasising too much? Not at all. Campi Flegrei’s magic is due to the work of nature and to that of man, not to
fantasy...
So it’s not fantasy, it’s magic! ©
Bacoli hosts on his land some of the most charming sites of Campi Flegrei’s
archaeological, naturalistic and mythical heritage: FAB! - the acronym of
the Bacoli Archaelogy festival which arises from the idea of TILE in
partnership with the city of Bacoli, aims at valorizing it. FAB! will be
a fabulous international event filled with Cinema, Archaeological culture,
Literature and Cross-mediality; during the event will be protagonists as well
archeocucina, underwater archaeology, theatre and music. "FAB" in
english means fabulous, fantastic (who does not know the Fab Four?): that’s why
FAB will present itself as a fabulous cinema and archaeology
festival! Regione Campania and the University of Naples
will be partners of the event together with the city of Bacoli.
